The damage was actually worst this time. We figured since the down spouts didn't create the grooves for water to run through. It appears the water cut them where ever it could. (Apr 06)

A lot of soil eroded. It was almost a foot deep by the retaining wall.

Arggghhhhh!

A lot of erosion took place near the side of the house.

Luckily the little bit of grass seem to hold some of the soil in place.

Filled in the grooves on the right side of the lawn. (May 06)

We placed tarps down before the next storm.

Even tried to block the wash of soil using the black tubing.

Didn't have enough tarp to cover the whole lawn so just tried to protect the upper portion.
